To earn a spot on the Fortune Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance™ list and the Fortune Best Workplaces for Millennials™ list, Fortune works with the Great Place to Work organization. Fortune analyzes feedback from U.S.-based employees to understand how well the company creates a great employee experience that spans race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is.
Our Great Place to Work® certification results showed that 91% of our employees say The General is a great place to work. This is 32% higher than the typical U.S.-based company and a strong indication of the positive experience employees share working with us.
As Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work® notes, “The Best Workplaces for Millennials™ treat their employees like people, not just employees. These companies foster caring and respect for one another, at every level of the organization. The result is millennial employees who say they look forward to coming to work and – as our research says – are 50 times more likely to stay a long time.”
