The Experience
The General Road Test Royale challenges players to navigate through road test-inspired obstacle courses across three custom city maps:
- Miami
- New York City
- San Francisco
Players will earn in-map currency by completing courses quickly and carefully, staying on track, avoiding obstacles, and maintaining control under pressure. The experience includes fun, branded details like a mustache-shaped monument and helmet-shaped map markers, and can be played solo or with friends.
This isn’t just about speed, it’s about skill and smarts. In partnership with Twitch, Look North World, and with guidance from National Driving Training (NDT), The General Road Test Royale was developed with real-world driving principles in mind to encourage safe, strategic gameplay in an engaging, fast-paced format.
Streamer Tournament + Giveaways
The Roadside Rally Tournament is happening on August 6th from 6–8 pm EST, featuring 16 top Fortnite streamers battling it out in paired matches, including a special appearance by T-Pain! Viewers can tune in to watch the action and enter The General Giveaway for a chance to win prizes like a PS5, Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Glasses, Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 Headphones, or the grand prize of a 2025 Honda Civic.
Speaking of the legendary T-Pain (Grammy-winning artist, beloved gamer, and Twitch personality), he proved his skills behind the wheel when he livestreamed his gameplay on Twitch and now he’s ready to compete in the official tournament this August. “Being a part of The General’s new commercial was pretty cool, and getting to take that energy into Fortnite is even better,” said T-Pain. “I can’t wait to stream my experience of The General Road Test Royale and show the community what the brand built. It’s creative, it’s chaotic, and it’s truly one of a kind.”
The Roadside Rally Tournament will be accessible via The General’s Twitch channel, participants’ live streams or directly through the hosts’ channels (BonsaiBroz 6–7pm + ThePeachCobbler 7–8pm). To enter the giveaway, viewers must be present in any of the live streams and use #TheGeneralGiveaway in chat to unlock how to enter within the first hour of the tournament. The General Giveaway is hosted by Fooji, an unaffiliated third party. Official rules will be provided when an official entry is unlocked during the live streams listed above.
