This new community investment program is designed to build on the company&#8217;s long-standing commitment to the communities they serve by offering unrestricted, general operating grants to eligible non-profit partners in the Nashville area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-grant-giving-priorities-address-a-variety-of-needs\">Grant giving priorities address a variety of needs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The goals of the giving priorities for The General Community Grants program are to create opportunities and meaningful societal impact for the Nashville community, families, and individuals. The priorities include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Academic Achievement and Education:<\/strong> Programs and services that advance educational equity in learning and academic achievement through access to high-quality education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Healthy Youth Development:<\/strong> Programs and services that support the ongoing needs of young people from birth through 25, including social-emotional learning and mental health.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Economic Opportunity:<\/strong> Programs and services that increase employment access and opportunity, such as job training and workforce readiness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community Resiliency:<\/strong> Programs and services that remove barriers to short and\/or long-term needs of individuals and families such as food, housing, transportation, and daycare needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-partnerships-based-on-trust\">Partnerships based on trust<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur new community grants program and investment in these organizations is much more than writing a check, our objective is to create authentic partnerships with the organizations we support to bring about meaningful change in our hometown,\u201d said Eileen Manners, Head of Claims for The General. \u201cWe\u2019ll accomplish this by listening, learning, and incorporating feedback from our community partners into our work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-additional-information\">Additional Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for the program are available now and will run until July 15.
