The decision was made after a review that started in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The General, a leader in the non-standard insurance market, has undergone a substantial brand reinvention in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe were looking for a partner who could bring new meaning to our brand and character through a performance-driven, digital-first mindset,\u201d said Kale Sligh, VP of Marketing at The General. \u201cA partner with the right capabilities and collaborative style to continue to accelerate our transformation journey.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Energy BBDO will continue to work with The General\u2019s ambassador, Shaquille O\u2019Neal, who became a customer while in college at LSU and has been featured in the brand\u2019s most recent campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Energy BBDO\u2019s first campaign work is set to launch by the end of 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFrom our first meeting, we were inspired by the deeply empathetic approach that The General takes to supporting its customers,\u201d said Jeff Adkins, President and CEO of Energy BBDO. \u201cThe company has kept people on the road for nearly 60 years, finding new and innovative solutions to give people a break when they need it most.
